As is evidenced in early 1900 pictures, hitching posts lined the business streets of Pilot Mound. These have long since been replaced, firstly, by Model T’s , Model A’s, and then were followed by each new era’s modern vehicles, all varieties of which now line the curbs to do business. As the land was taken up by the early settlers, Pilot Mound became an important Agricultural Service Centre. The fluctuations of the Rural Agricultural economy have had and continue to have a direct effect on the business of rural urban centres.

The expanded list of business offerings indicates that Pilot Mound has advanced to being not only an Agricultural Service Centre. The entrepreneurial spirit that is alive in the community has diversified to meet the commercial needs of citizens of the region.

(The citizens, who operate their respective business, are members of their community who not only operate a business and provide employment, but they also raise their families, coach sports, serve on council and organizations, and join with others to build their community for the benefit of all.)

Business opportunities are open for all entrepreneurial spirited persons, who would choose to live in the community of Pilot Mound in south-central Manitoba. We are located in "The Heart of The Pembina Valley" where there are huge outdoor and recreational possibilities. Business opportunities are also Tourism related.

Pilot Mound is a community with a great sense of security due to a very low crime rate. It is a community with spirit and vitality that provides the amenities for all interests and activities of its citizens (as is covered on this web site).
