Seed Depot Corp. is a relatively new Manitoba based seed company dedicated to the introduction and distribution of seed varieties that are best suited to the needs of farmers in Western Canada.

Seed Depot is committed to only introducing varieties which show exceptional merit for their customers. At Seed Depot, our close contact to farmers & dealers and active participation in agriculture allows us to more accurately anticipate the needs of our customers and ensure that the new varieties they require are available to them.

There are currently 67 Seed Depot dealers located across Western Canada, all of them top seed growers.

Seed Depot is committed to only introduce varieties with exceptional merit. CONLON barley is such a variety. CONLON barley was first introduced in 2003 to Manitoba farmers, and by 2005 was the #1 barley in Manitoba. CONLON continues to become more popular every year, and seed has sold out every year since it was introduced.

HiFi oats are our new oat variety. They offer superior crown rust resistance and are currently being contracted by Can-Oat Portage under their first ever Identity Preserved program.

Seed Depot Corp. is located near Pilot Mound in south central Manitoba, Canada. Seed Depot is owned by Smith Family Farm Pilot Mound Corp. and our office is right here on the farm. Our family has farmed the W½ of 6-3-10 since 1879 and continue farming today.
