Hi I am a kid, I live In Pilot Mound. Pilot Mound is an awesome place to live!
All of my friends live in Pilot Mound and then I can just walk over and see them (with mine and their parents permission of course!).
There is pretty much always something to do because grown-ups donate their time to make sure there is always something fun for us kids to do around the community.
Some times on special occasions me and my family go out for supper and when we do, we have a choice of what we want to eat because there are 3 restaurants and when we want chicken we can go to the Homesteader. They are known for their chicken, when we want pizza we can go to the Five Pin because they are known for their pizza! Breakfast is good too and Sherri's is known for her breakfast!
Most of the time my mom makes dinner at home though and when she does we get all of our groceries at either Dobson’s or Parks. My mom and me go shopping at the drugstore when one of us are sick and then we can get our medicine there. We also go to True Value when we need something else. My favorite thing though, is going shopping with my Dad because we go to the CO-OP to get all the farming supplies we need, there are lots of other stores that my dad shops in too.
There are so many fun things to do in Pilot Mound. I always go to the hockey games because I love to watch other people play. Personally I don’t like school but some kids do so it’s a good thing that we have three schools. Some of the things that I like to do around here are swimming in the pool and golfing at the golf course. The rink is also so much fun! Another thing is that we are so close to the ski hill- it’s only a 10 minute drive. I remember last year we had hot-air balloon rides and a mud bog and we also had a street dance it was also so much fun!
Another bonus of living in a small town is that you pretty much know every one that you pass by on the street. When we are doing fundraisers for our school no one ever just shuts the door on us. They listen to what we have to say and buy from us a lot of the time.
We also have churches and they create youth groups that are always so much fun. Our movie theater is also a big hit because we have new release movies that we can go and watch on a Friday or Saturday.
In our communities we have a lot of amazing people willing to help out around here, so for everyone reading this you could ask anyone who lives here and they’ll tell you we have an AWESOME community.
