Ladies Night Hollywood Style

The town was abuzz with the shocking appearance of numerous celebrities at the Tivoli Theatre's Ladies Night: Hollywood Style! It was an excellent crowd and we had no idea we'd attract so many 'A'-Listers! Julia Roberts, Dolly Parton, Angelina Jolie, Lady Gaga, Sonny & Cher were just a few of the stars that came up from California to join in the fun and walk the red carpet.

We've had a lot of positive feedback from the evening and lots of ideas that we can add for next year. We'd like to mention some people who were hugely helpful in making the evening a success: Roberta Moore - decorations, made the video & let us use her video screen; Cyndy Weselowski - setup & decorating; Pam Sheffield - setup & decoration; Kinsmen - donated bar worker; Bill MacIntosh - donated sound system; Wanda Lucas - donation of mini pizza's (300!) & kitchen work; Donna Hill - kitchen work, Marg Desrochers - kitchen work; Lorna Burns - float; Yvette Glenn - decorating & kitchen work; Bonnie Robbins - fruit artwork. We'd also like to extend an enormous thanks to everybody who helped out with the evening and to everybody who attended! In the end, we netted approximately $1800 for the theatre.

The Tivoli Cash Calendar winners are starting to mount. There's still a few calendar available, with tons of chances left to win! So if you don't have one, and you'd like in on the action, pop in to True Value to pick one up!

Tivoli Theatre was built in the community in 1945, and in 1992 became community owned. The concession stand is run by volunteers each weekend, and a projectionist is hired to run the projector and take admissions.

The facility is managed by a board of directors who strive to order movies suitable for families and teen-aged children and younger. Movies rated "R" are rarely shown.

Tivoli Theatre will be moving to a new home in the Millennium Recreation Complex when it is completed. As a fund-raiser for this, "Stadium Seats" are being sold for $50.00 each.

Movies are run regularly over winter on Friday and Saturday evenings starting at 8:00 P.M.

During the summer, shows run every two weeks on Tuesday & Wednesday evening.

Admission:

Child: $4.00
Youth: $5.00
Adult: $6.50

The theatre can be rented for birthday parties for an affordable fee of $50.00 which includes the movie and popcorn.

Books of 5 passes make great stocking stuffers or birthday presents:

Children - $18.00/book
Youth - $24.00/book
Adults - $30.00/book

Six-month passes are also available:

Family - $175.00
Adult - $100.00
Under 18 - $75.00

Businesses & individuals may also sponsor a weekend movie for $250.00.
