Sept 10

Despicable Me
95 mins
PG
In a happy suburban neighborhood surrounded by white picket fences with flowering rose bushes, sits a black house with a dead lawn. Unbeknownst to the neighbors, hidden beneath this home is a vast secret hideout. Surrounded by a small army of minions, we discover Gru planning the biggest heist in the history of the world. He is going to steal the moon, yes, the moon. Gru delights in all things wicked. Armed with his arsenal of shrink rays, freeze rays, and battle-ready vehicles for land and air, he vanquishes all who stand in his way. Until the day he encounters the immense will of three little orphaned girls who look at him and see something that no one else has ever seen: a potential Dad. The world's greatest villain has just met his greatest challenge: three little girls named Margo, Edith and Agnes.

It's back!

The Tivoli Theatre Photo Contest-Cash Calendar was such a tremendous amount of fun that we decided to do it again.
This means.... We need your pictures!
The Tivoli Theatre will be releasing a cash calendar for 2011 and we would like fill it up with great pictures from all the wonderful photographers in the area. The pictures can be of anything you like.... pets, people, flowers, trees, sunsets, squirrels, rocks, whatever! We need your best shots by Sept 1, so there's lots of time to get shooting if you don't all ready have the perfect pic.
After the deadline, the pictures will be laid out and the best ones will be chosen anonymously (judges won't know who each picture belongs to) to appear in the calendar.
Submit entries to patshell@mts.net (Entries only accepted by email).
If photography isn't your thing, you can purchase a calendar after it's all done and have a chance to win weekly cash prizes all year long.
Please mark your calendar for the following events:
• Photo contest - entries in by Sept 1
• Hot Dog Lunch - July 16 & August 13 - 11:30- 1:30
• Dinner Movie & Bang - September 10
Tivoli Theatre was built in the community in 1945, and in 1992 became community owned. The concession stand is run by volunteers each weekend, and a projectionist is hired to run the projector and take admissions.
The facility is managed by a board of directors who strive to order movies suitable for families and teen-aged children and younger. Movies rated "R" are rarely shown.
Tivoli Theatre will be moving to a new home in the Millennium Recreation Complex when it is completed. As a fund-raiser for this, "Stadium Seats" are being sold for $50.00 each.
Movies are run regularly over winter on Friday and Saturday evenings starting at 8:00 P.M.
During the summer, shows run every two weeks on Tuesday & Wednesday evening.
